Wasserman Music Executive Vice President and Managing Executive Corrie Martin has announced her plans to retire from the agency, closing out a 30-year influential career in the live industry.

Martin has helped guide a roster of artists representing a range of genres, including Imagine Dragons, Janet Jackson, Deftones, Sublime, Avenged Sevenfold, Benson Boone, Papa Roach, Incubus, Rise Against, Yellowcard, Dirty Heads, The Breeders, Jawbreaker and The Warning.

“I feel incredibly grateful for the many amazing artists I’ve had the privilege to be involved with throughout my career. I’ve also been fortunate to work alongside some of the most talented behind the scenes people as well,” Martin said in a statement. “I consider mentoring future leaders one of my greatest career achievements and I am extremely proud of the team we have built at Wasserman Music.”

Today’s announcement from Wasserman Music notes that Martin “has complemented her sharp deal-making skills with an exceptional ability to identify and develop significant talent from its earliest stages.”

She got her start in the live business at The Tahoe Agency, where her career highlights included playing a role signing artists such as Blink-182, Sublime, and Goldfinger. After that she went on to found boutique booking agency Fierce Talent, which was later acquired by The Agency Group, and then in 2005 she joined APA. During her time at APA she discovered Grammy Award-winning rock band Imagine Dragons. Martin joined Paradigm in 2013 and was later promoted to the company’s executive music team. Wasserman points out that she played “an instrumental role in guiding the acquisition of Paradigm’s music division by Wasserman in 2021.”

Before departing Wasserman Music, Martin plans to stay on to help with the transition on her teams over the next few weeks. During her retirement, Martin will foster her passion for adventure and explore the globe, as well as spend meaningful time with her children. The announcement adds that these “priorities have long fueled her both personally and professionally, and she approaches this next chapter with the same curiosity and enthusiasm that have defined her career.”

Martin was previously honored by Pollstar as part of the Impact 50 list in 2022, as well as a Woman of Live in 2023.

“Corrie’s influence on Wasserman Music is immeasurable,” said Lee Anderson, President of Wasserman Music. “Her leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to artists have left a lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed.”
