Ten Atoms Management Hires Veteran Manager Howard Greynolds

Ten Atoms Management announced today that it has bolstered its roster by hiring veteran artist manager Howard Greynolds, who brings with him longtime client Iron & Wine and Ken Pomeroy.
The addition expands the firm’s national footprint and presence in Chicago, where Greynolds will be based.
“I remember meeting Howard for the very first time right by the original Ten Atoms office in East Austin; in the years since, he’s been a solid friend and mentor whose work I have admired. I could not be more thrilled to welcome him and Tarina to our team,” Ryan Matteson, founder of Ten Atoms, said in a statement. “Iron and Wine have long been one of my favorite artists. The catalog continues to get better with each release. I had the great pleasure of seeing Ken Pomeroy at AmericanaFest earlier this year and truly believe that she’s a rising star and look forward to helping however we can in service of that.”
Greynolds was previously at Overcoat Management and has experience on the label side of the business, working at Touch and Go Records and Thrill Jockey for many years and developing key relationships.
Tarina Aumiller, Greynolds’ longtime collaborator, also joins Ten Atoms and will continue to support artists through daily operations and strategic initiatives.
“I’ve been fortunate to know Ryan for a number of years, from texting at record stores about our artists to phone calls trading ideas and information on how to best support them and navigate the various states of the industry,” Greynolds said. “Watching him grow Ten Atoms into one of the premier management companies of our time has been unsurprising, given his vision, hard work, and dedication to his clients. Tarina and I are honored to join him and the exceptional team he has assembled at Ten Atoms, working side by side with them.”
Matteson founded Ten Atoms in 2018 and is one of the top independent management companies in the industry with a roster that includes Black Pumas, Japanese Breakfast, The Mountain Goats, The Breeders, Regina Spektor, Sleater-Kinney, Die Spitz, Briscoe, Neal Francies, Old 97’s and more.
