DEAG Acquires Remaining Shares In Wizard Live

Deutsche Entertainment AG (DEAG) has increased its stake in Wizard Live from 75.1% to 100%, according to a press announcement sent today.
The remaining 24.9% of shares were acquired from company founder Ossy Hoppe and Managing Director Oliver Hoppe for an undisclosed sum.
The sale “consists of a cash component and shares issued as part of a capital increase through contributions in kind. As part of this transaction, Ossy Hoppe and Oliver Hoppe will become DEAG shareholders,” according to the press release.
Oliver Hoppe, a 2025 Impact International Honoree, will remain Managing Director of Wizard and continue to lead the company in the long term.
In addition, in his role as Executive Vice President of Live Entertainment, Management & Strategy at DEAG, he will drive the further development of the Group’s Live Entertainment segment, in particular through international networking, the expansion of new business areas, and a stronger focus on the customer experience and its optimization.
Ossy Hoppe will continue to support DEAG in an advisory capacity.
By fully acquiring Wizard, DEAG, by its own admission, “is strengthening its strong market position in Live Entertainment, consistently and successfully continuing its buy-and-build strategy, and reducing minority interests in its particularly successful Group companies as planned.”
DEAG has held a stake in Wizard since 2013. “Over the years, extensive synergies have been achieved for the Group in the areas of Live Entertainment and ticketing, as well as in artist acquisition,” the press release states.
Wizard was established in 2004 and became one of Germany’s leading concert and tour promoters. Since then, the company has organized events with artists such as 50 Cent, AC/DC, Adele, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Haftbefehl, Herbert Grönemeyer, and Ricky Martin.
Most recently, Wizard was responsible for the German tours of artists such as Iron Maiden, Böhse Onkelz, Nena, and Jamie Cullum. Upcoming 2026 highlights include tours and concerts with Judas Priest, Foreigner, Zucchero, and OMD, among others.
