SGPS/ShowRig Names Joseph Jeremy New CTO

Rigging, staging and live production automation leader SGPS/ShowRig has named Joseph Jeremy as chief technology officer.

Jeremy, the co-founder of Niscon Inc., will lead the company’s long-term technological vision while continuing to serve as an integral part of the Niscon leadership team. He will remain based in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, where Niscon operates as a division of SGPS/ShowRig.

SGPS/ShowRig acquired Niscon and its Raynok motion control software in December. As CTO, Jeremy will oversee the integration of advanced automation technologies across the entire SGPS/ShowRig portfolio and will work closely with the engineering and development teams in Burlington and Las Vegas.

SGPS/ShowRig was named “Rigging Company of the Year” award for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra tour at the Parnelli Awards Jan. 24, which recognize excellence in the live touring industry.

A graduate of the Technical Theatre program at Niagara College, Jeremy began his career as a carpenter and technical specialist, spending 17 years working on a variety of productions. Before co-founding Niscon Inc. in 2001, he held leadership roles as Head of Automation at Edge and Company and Westsun Scenic. At Niscon for the past 25 years, Joseph served as Vice-President, President, and CEO, where he spearheaded the development of the Raynok Motion Control System.
