Black Music Action Coalition Adds 5 New Members To Executive Leadership Council

The Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC), an organization comprising artists, managers, lawyers and executives that aims to eradicate systemic racism within the music industry and society, announced the addition of five new members to its executive leadership council.
Live Nation’s Omar Al-joulani and Colin Lewis, Mona Scott-Young of Monami Entertainment, former music exec and current professor Jerry Clark and Jennifer Drake, who oversees the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers’ Southeast Region.
“Omar and Colin have demonstrated the kind of leadership essential to BMAC’s growth,” says Shawn Holiday, co-Founder of BMAC. “From helping build the BMAC LIVE Accelerator Program as it enters its third year to supporting our annual gala, their contributions reflect a long-term commitment to scaling impact and strengthening the organization.”
The executive leadership council works on the organization’s strategic direction as BMAC advances equity, accountability and access across the music industry through various initiatives, including advocacy, economic empowerment and creator-focused programs.
“These appointments strengthen our ability to meet this moment,” said Willie “Prophet” Stiggers, co-founder, president & CEO of BMAC. “Each of these leaders brings a unique perspective and a proven track record that will help push the industry forward in meaningful, measurable ways. Mona Scott-Young will help lead initiatives focused on women’s equity and breaking the glass ceiling for the next generation of female industry leaders, while Jennifer Drake and Jerry Clark will support the expansion of BMAC’s footprint in Atlanta, a cultural hub that continues to shape global music culture.”
