Ani DiFranco Announces ‘Spirit Of Love Tour’

Ani DiFranco has announced the routing for her “Spirit Of Love Tour,” with the first run of shows slotted near her previously announced performance at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 24.
The news comes ahead of the release of DiFranco’s new book, “The Spirit of Ani,” due out on March 3. The collaborative work features the celebrated singer-songwriter in conversation with cultural anthropologist Lauren Coyle Rosen “discussing her creativity, spirituality, personal experiences, and evolving consciousness.”
The tour kicks off April 22 in Jackson, Mississippi, with the first run of dates booked through early May including stops in Pensacola, Florida; Savannah, Georgia; Birmingham, Alabama; Asheville, North Carolina; Baltimore and Portland, Maine. DiFranco returns to the road in August for gigs in Vancouver, British Columbia; Boise, Idaho; and Santa Cruz, California, among other stops.
Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Valerie June will join the tour as support starting May 1 at the Ryman Auditorium, marking DiFranco’s first performance at the iconic Nashville venue in 14 years.
A presale starts on Monday, February 16th at 10 a.m. local time through Thursday, February 19th at 10 p.m., followed by the public onsale on Friday, Feb. 20 at 10 a.m.
DiFranco is managed by Invasion Group’s Peter Casperson and her North American tour dates are booked by Ground Control Touring’s Susie Giang.
As a post on her website notes, DiFranco is widely considered a feminist icon, and “the mother of the DIY movement, being one of the first artists to create her own record label, Righteous Babe Records, in 1990.”
Over the course of her career she’s released 23 albums with a mix of folk, punk, hip-hop, soul and electronic genres while addressing a range of issues ranging from the autobiographical to political and social. Her latest projects include 2024’s Unprecedented Sh!t and the 30th anniversary edition of her seminal album Not A Pretty Girl (2025).
Prior to releasing “The Spirit of Ani,” DiFranco’s memoir “No Walls and the Recurring Dream” was a New York Times Top 10 best seller in 2019. She’s also written children’s books: “The Knowing” and “Show Up and Vote.”
