Global Citizen, a platform that aims to end extreme poverty and promote social justice, announced that Doja Cat will headline its Move Afrika tour in Kigali and Pretoria.

The third edition of Move Afrika returns to BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda, on March 17 and expands to South Africa with a show at SunBet Arena in Pretoria, the nation’s capital, on March 20. Additional regional and local acts will soon be announced.

“From my South African roots straight to the world stage, we’re bringing energy, purpose, and real change to Move Afrika in Kigali and Pretoria. This isn’t just a tour, it’s a movement that creates jobs and opportunities that last,” Doja Cat said in a statement. “I’m proud to be part of something that celebrates Africa’s creativity, invests in its future, and shows the world that Africa isn’t coming, it’s already here.”

The event connects global artists with local talent, production crews and audiences, to show the music industry that African cities are viable touring destinations.

Tickets to the Kigali show are available at moveafrika.org. For Move Afrika in Pretoria, Mastercard cardholders have access to the presale Feb. 16-18, and the Big Concerts Fan Club presale runs Feb. 17-18. The general onsale opens Feb. 18 at Ticketmaster.com.

“We are honored to welcome Doja Cat as the headliner for Move Afrika 2026,” said Hugh Evans, co-founder & CEO of Global Citizen. “She has delivered unforgettable performances at some of Global Citizen’s most defining moments, from Paris to New York to the historic FIFA Club World Cup Final Halftime Show. Now she joins us as we expand across the continent, from Johannesburg to Accra, Kigali to Lagos, and now Pretoria. Move Afrika is redefining global touring by placing Africa’s creative excellence at the center of the international circuit, creating jobs, strengthening local creative industries, and driving long-term economic growth powered by culture.”

Doja Cat, who is repped by Creative Artists Agency’s Jenna Adler and managed by Josh Kaplan of Good Day Management, has been busy the past year performing shows across the globe, including a two-night stand at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, last December that grossed $3,339,590 off 25,991 tickets sold, according to Pollstar Boxoffice.
