Hollywood Bowl Announces 2026 Summer Season

The LA Phil has set the summer season at the beloved and historic Hollywood Bowl with a program that features a four-day celebration of musical director Gustavo Dudamel along with the customary mix of performances from artists spanning classical, pop, rock, hip-hop, jazz, rap, blues, Broadway and more.
“The Hollywood Bowl is one of Los Angeles’ great cultural treasures, bringing world-class music to audiences in a setting that is welcoming, joyful, and accessible to our local communities,” says LA Phil President and CEO Kim Noltemy. “This summer’s season reflects the extraordinary range of what the Bowl offers—from the return of the Blue Note Jazz Festival and a celebration of America’s 250th anniversary with The Beach Boys, to Joe Hisaishi’s iconic film music and a fitting tribute to Gustavo Dudamel’s 17 remarkable years leading the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Together, these programs capture the Bowl’s unique ability to unite our city in ways that resonate far beyond Los Angeles.”
The Dudamel celebration is set for Aug. 20-23. It begins with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, musicians of the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Master Chorale performing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. The evening begins with the world premiere of a new orchestral and choral piece by Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino featuring Los Angeles Children’s Chorus singing lyrics by Amanda Gorman, who grew into national prominence as the youngest inaugural poet in American history with her poem “The Hill We Climb” at Joe Biden’s 2021 inauguration.
On Aug. 21, Dudamel will serve as host for a “surprise-filled” concert of “Dudamel’s Playlist,” featuring his favorite artists.
On Aug. 22, the Foo Fighters will prep for their stadium tour with a Bowl performance alongside the Phil. The Dudamel celebration wraps Aug. 23 with “an extraordinary genre spanning concert that showcases the incredible range of music he’s performed with the orchestra in the last 17 years including performances from across the worlds of classical, pop, Latin, and more.”
The season opens June 20 with a salute to Broadway from the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.
