Failure Announce North American Spring Tour, New Label Home At Arduous Records

Failure, the band made up of Ken Andrews, Greg Edwards and Kelli Scott, announced their seventh studio album, Location Lost, as well as a new tour. The upcoming trek kicks off with an album release party on April 21, ahead of the album’s release on April 24 via Failure Records/Arduous Records/Virgin Music Group.
Failure’s tour includes festival stops at Sick New World in Las Vegas and Welcome To Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida, as well as headline dates in Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, New York City and more before wrapping up at Opera House in Toronto on May 20.
Failure’s upcoming LP features nine new songs, including “The Rising Skyline” featuring Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams. Along with the tour and album announcement, Failure released the single “The Air’s On Fire.” The album was recorded after Failure completed their recent Hulu/Disney+ documentary, “Every Time You Lose Your Mind.” The new single explores Andrews’ back injury that required surgery, where he faced a difficult road to recovery.
“That song is directly about my surgery and waking up,” he shared in a statement. “I basically coded. Everything was spinning. I kept saying, ‘Turn the air on. I’m fine – just take me home.’ I was definitely not fine.”
Failure is managed by The Fellowship Artist Management’s Blaze James and booked by Wasserman Music’s Larry Webman. In 2014, Failure returned from a 17-year hiatus. With 32 headline reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice since then, the band has sold a total of 17,098 tickets, with a total gross of $475,974.
On Feb. 17 James launched a new label, Arduous Records, a new imprint of Virgin Music Group, with Failture as the label’s first signing and Location Lost as its first release.
Industry executive and artist manager Jordyn Reese has been appointed General Manager of the new record label, with her agency Do Better For Artists providing full-service artist support. The collaboration between Blaze and Reese follows their December announcement of Reese’s joining The Fellowship, James’ artist management company, which is now home to Coheed and Cambria, High Vis, Militarie Gun, Failure, Soul Glo, Matt Pinfield, Minus the Bear and Narrow Head.
Tickets for the newly announced dates go on sale Feb. 20 at 10 a.m. local time.
