Inspired by the recent protest concert at First Avenue in Minneapolis, Tom Morello announced that he will be joining Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band’s U.S. tour, which runs from late March through the end of May.

Morello made the announcement and social media and also stated that a handful of his solo shows will be postponed. The guitarist said his May concerts in Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Atlanta, Nashville and Milwaukee will be rescheduled, and he will no longer make appearances at three festivals: Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple and BottleRock.

Morello organized a concert in Minneapolis on Jan. 30 denouncing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, following the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Springsteen surprised the crowd and performed his protest song “Street of Minneapolis,” which he had released just a few days prior. Proceeds from the show went to the families of Good and Pretti, who were killed by ICE agents in January.

“After Bruce joined me last month in Minneapolis for our ‘Defend Minnesota’ charity concert, I was reminded how important our platform is, and how crucial the resistance work is that our music can do together at this dangerous historical juncture,” Morello wrote on an Instagram post that included a photo of him with Springsteen at the Minneapolis concert. “Together, Bruce, The E Street Band, and I are going to turn a spotlight on the current threats to democracy and human rights happening all around us.”

In reference to the cancellations and postponements of shows, Morello added, “I have a deep love and respect for all my friends, fans and comrades, and I promise that we will find a way to be together for these shows, in these towns, very soon.”

Springsteen’s 20-date “Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour” kicks off March 31 at Target Center in Minneapolis and includes shows in iconic venues like New York’s Madison Square Garden, Inglewood’s Kia Forum and Chicago’s United Center.

Morello is booked by Creative Artists Agency in North America except Canada and represented by Vector Management. He performed in theaters last year, including a sold-out show at Vic Theatre that grossed $73,683 off 1,416 tickets sold, according to Pollstar Boxoffice.

Springsteen’s tour dates are booked by CAA’s Rob Light and BPB Consulting’s Barry Bell. He is managed by Jon Landau. Springsteen & The E Street Band ranked No. 22 on Pollstar’s 2025 Year End Top Touring Artists Worldwide chart with 758,640 total tickets sold and an average gross of $5,661,279.
