Detroit-based venue operator and promoter 313 Presents has announced that company President Howard Handler will begin a planned leadership transition following nearly seven years at the company that operates popular venues including Little Caesars Arena, Fox Theatre and Pine Knob Music Theatre. Handler will remain in his role through March 31, 2026 while the organization prepares for the upcoming summer season and beyond, the announcement states.

“Leading 313 Presents has been one of the great professional honors of my career,” said Handler. “Music and live entertainment have been a constant thread in my life. Having the opportunity to help bring the world’s best artists to Detroit’s most beloved venues — including Pine Knob and the Fox Theatre — has been a true privilege. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together, grateful to the team, our partners, and the Board, and confident in the strength of the organization as it enters its next chapter.”

313’s board and ownership thanked Handler for his leadership, impact, and lasting contributions.

“We’re grateful for Howard’s leadership and dedication to creating lasting value for 313 Presents and for the strong foundation he leaves behind,” said 313 Presents Board members Ryan Gustafson, President & CEO, Ilitch Sports + Entertainment, and Rich Haddad, COO of Pistons Sports & Entertainment.

Handler plans to continue his board service and remain active in Detroit through civic commitments following the leadership transition period.

313 Presents was formed in 2017 as a joint venture between Olympia Entertainment and Palace Sports & Entertainment, ahead of the opening of Little Caesars Arena, home of the Pistons and Detroit Red Wings.

Handler, a Detroit native, counts previous experience at Madison Square Garden, Major League Soccer, Virgin Mobile, Saturday Night Live and more.
