Ground Control Touring Adds Nashville-Based Agent Tommy Alexander

Ground Control Touring has added Nashville-based agent Tommy Alexander to its ranks, who brings an Americana and folk-heavy contingent of clients including Hudson Freeman, Willi Carlisle, Robert Lester Folsom, Anna Tivel, Willa Mae, Lily Seabird, Humbird, Jeffrey Martin, Kassi Valazza, Jordan Smart, and Theo Lawrence.

Alexander began his career in the industry in 2018, shortly after gigging as a talent buyer, running his own agency and most recently booking at Wasserman Music.

“It’s really hard for me to put into words just how excited and humbled I am by this opportunity and this team,” Alexander says in the announcement. “As far back as I can remember, from when I was a touring artist or when I had my own small agency, GCT was always the northstar of curation, approach and overall aesthetic. To be a part of that now feels quite surreal.”

Alexander joins Ground Control’s Head of Festivals, Keith Richards, expanding the agency’s presence in Nashville.

Ground Control Touring, with main offices in New York and Los Angeles and representing more than 600 music clients, celebrated its 25th anniversary last year. Its roster includes Sonic Youth, Bright Eyes, Kurt Vile, Belle & Sebastian, New Found Glory, Men I Trust, Japanese Breakfast, Waxahatchee, Turnover, and Joyce Manor.
