The Great Escape Turns 20
The Kooks are going to perform a special 20th Anniversary Spotlight Show at The Great Escape in Brighton, England, May 13. The Brighton-formed band played the very first Great Escape in 2006, the same year they released their multi-platinum debut album Inside In / Inside Out.
20 years later, they return to the seaside in Brighton for a landmark anniversary performance celebrating the album that gave us classics like “Naïve,” “She Moves In Her Own Way,” and “Seaside.”
The Great Escape 2026 runs May 13-16, and has already announced more than 100 up-and-coming bands, who’ll perform across Brighton’s amazing grassroots venues. The most recent additions are Adult DVD, Dea Matrona, Bella Barbe, Tony Bontana, Angine de Poitrine, dogworld, Dead Dads Club, Wesley Joseph, Tom A. Smith, Julia Cumming, The Orielles, Why Horses?, Pigeon, Lauren Auder, Matthew Ifield, and many more.

Truck Thrives
Truck Festival, scheduled to return to Hill Farm in Oxfordshire, England, July 23-26, has unveiled the first names for 2026, and it’s a stellar list. First off are this year’s headliners: The Maccabees, Two Door Cinema Club, who are celebrating 15 years of their debut album Tourist History at Truck 2026, CMAT, The Libertines, and The Wombats.
They’re joined by a wide range of beloved and tipped artists, including Divorce, Picture Parlour, Arkayla, GANS, Finn Forster, My First Time, Tom A. Smith, Punchbag, Creeping Jean, Lizzie Esau, The Slates, and more.
This year’s comedy program at Truck Festival features Reginald D Hunter, Ivo Graham, Sam Nicoresti, Jack Skipper, Dan Tiernan and Jarred Christmas to Lorna Rose Treen, Kyrah Gray, Andrew White, Louise Young, and others.
The late-night electronic music lineup features Morgan Seatree, Sigma, Slipmatt, Ellie Scougall, Jay Soleil, Dylan James, Shem, Miggs b2b Carter, and more.
Tier 6 tickets are available from £200 ($267 + Booking Fees). Promoter Superstruct has informed fans that more than 90% of tickets have sold out, and that Truck 2026 will be entering its final ticket tier very shortly.

A Year To Remember For Lytham Fest
Lytham Festival returns to England’s North West, July 1-5, celebrating its 15th anniversary. Singer-songwriter Ronan Keating, iconic glam-pop band Scissor Sisters, pop duo Appleton, dance anthems DJ Dave Pearce, and Lancashire’s very own superstar DJ Graham Liver all join this summer’s line up.
They join previously announced headliners Michael Bublé, Pet Shop Boys, Teddy Swims, Alanis Morissette, and Pitbull. Also confirmed for Lytham Festival 2026 are Skunk Anansie, Lil Jon, Lauren Spences Smith, Jordan Rakei, and others.
Lytham Festival is promoter by Cuffe & Taylor, part of Live Nation. Lytham Festival co-founder Peter Taylor commente,d “2026 just gets better and better. We are adding five more artists to the bill today and what an incredible roster of artists they are. Combining the huge hits of Ronan Keating, Appleton and Scissor Sisters’ careers, alongside the legend that is Dave Pearce and our homegrown Lancashire DJ Graham Liver means we are, yet again, bringing a brilliant variety of internationally acclaimed musicians and DJs to Lytham. Czechia
Gorillaz, Limp Bizkit, BMTH Headline Rock For People
Rock for People has completed the international lineup for its 2026 edition, revealing a further wave of more than 30 artists set to perform at Park 360 in Hradec Králové, Czechia, June 10-14. They join previously announced headliners Gorillaz, Limp Bizkit, Bring Me The Horizon, Halsey, and Iron Maiden.
Among the latest additions is beloved U.S. pop-punk outfit All Time Low, the Pete Doherty fronted indie rock favourites Babyshambles, explosive British singer-songwriter Barns Courtney, as well as drum and bass heavyweights Delta Heavy.
But there’s more, including post-punk firebrands High Vis, melodic hardcore trio Grade 2, alt-rock newcomers Mouth Culture, indie outfit overpass, as well as Britpop siblings The Molotovs.
Lionheart, Sleep Theory, and I Killed The Prom Queen are contributing to the heavy side of the lineup, while Deki Alem, Radio Free Alice, Keo, Midrift, and SVDDEN DEATH, demonstrate Rock For People’s commitment to presenting one of the most varied lineups on the European festival circuit.
Festival director Luděk Motyčka commented, “We built this year’s programme with a strong emphasis on genre diversity, from legendary icons to the most exciting new discoveries. Last year’s 30th anniversary set an incredibly high bar in terms of production, dramaturgy and atmosphere. That made this year’s preparation even more challenging, but we believe the 2026 lineup continues to build on that level.”
Tickets for Rock For People 2026 are on sale, with full five-day tickets starting at €291 ($338).

Germany
Kygo, Tom Odell, Tash Sultana At Redesigned Superbloom
Due to renovations at Munich’s Olympic Stadium, usually home to Superbloom’s main stage, the festival has come up with a new site layout for its 2026 return to the Bavarian capital.
Stretched out across an entire week, Aug. 29–Sept. 4, Superbloom 2026 features two Experience Days and five Concert Days, with Kygo, Tom Odell, Zara Larsson, Tash Sultana, Lorde, Sombr, Lewis Capaldi, as well as German stars Berq, Zartmann, and Ayliva confirmed for 2026.
Some of them perform during the so-called Experience Days, the usual Superbloom weekend on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 29–30 The following week will present more daily concerts, Aug. 31–Sept. 4.
Superbloom festival director Fruzsina Szép commented, “With the renovation and the resulting loss of the Olympic Stadium, we have restructured the event site in order to position all of our content in the best possible way. At the same time, it remains our ambition to continue making the unique feeling and special atmosphere of Superbloom an experience for our audience.”
Regular saturday tickets are available at the early-bird rate of €89 ($103), while Sunday tickets cost €94 ($109). Kids get massive discounts, as does the youth. Tickets for the individual concert days range between €75 ($87) and €99 ($115) depending on the day.

Italy
The Epitome Of Boutique: Flash Festival
Flash Festival, a 1,000-cap celebration of music, food, wine, movement and storytelling, returns to the rolling vineyards in Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy, May 13-16.
The musical lineup includes electronic selectors Atrip, Bella, Cc:Disco!, Dan Shake, Midland Minna, Moxie, Mr Scruff, Myd (DJ), Scarlett O’Malley, Storm Mollison, Strath, and Swim.
Food and wine remain central. The festival opens on a Wednesday evening with its long-table Opening Feast, a convivial countryside supper inspired by traditional Tuscan harvest dinners, where the entire community gathers beneath open skies to share antipasti, fresh pasta, slow-cooked meats and wine poured from carafes as music drifts through the hills.
Across the weekend, 14 wine tasting masterclasses bring together 19 independent Italian winemakers and more than 42 wines, each session paired with a live DJ soundtrack.
And the beloved Pasta Making workshops with traditional Italian Nonnas return, inviting guests to handcraft Pici, Maccheroni, Topini and Farfalle with techniques perfected through generations, before sitting down together to eat what they have made.
Tickets are selling fast, with around 20% remaining at the time of this writing. Festival tickets start at €175 ($203) + booking fee. The Opening Feast adds €35 to the bill, and guests also pay extra for the wine tastings/classes (€16-€22) and pasta workshops (€22).

Malta
Breaking Borders Returns For 2nd Edition
After 2025’s premiere, Breaking Borders is returning to Malta, Sept. 3-6, once again bringing together the best of the South Asian music scene and community on the stunning Mediterranean island of Malta.
Karan Aujla returns for two headline sets on both the festival’s Friday and Sunday, performing two different setlists. Karan Aujla commented, “2025 was just the beginning, and 2026 is about to be something special. This year, I got a chance to headline two nights with two different setlists. This is something I’ve never done before. This festival represents Desi culture on a global stage, and being a part of that journey means a lot to me. If you were there last time, you already know. If you missed it, this is your chance. See you guys there – let’s have fun!”
AP Dhillon, who has also been announced as headliner, commented, “Malta, I’m coming through. Proud to see how far our community’s reached. Can’t wait to headline Saturday and put on a show to remember. See you all there.”
The lineup also includes international acts Jasmine Sandlas, Sukha, The PropheC, Tegi Pannu, Harkirat Sangha, BK, Panjabi MC, Miss Pooja, and Prabh. Curated takeovers from Desi Beatz and Jawani 4eva will showcase and celebrate the scene’s best South Asian DJs and voices.
