Oscars Lineup Unveiled: ‘Kpop Demon Hunters’ Trio To Perform, ‘Sinners’ Segment Featuring Miles Canton, Raphael Saadiq & More

Executive producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan unveiled the initial lineup of artists set to perform at the 98th Academy Awards this Sunday. The ceremony will have segments celebrating two 2025 films that heavily featured music: Kpop Demon Hunters and Sinners.
“This year, our music performances are inspired by two of the most powerful cultural phenomena in film: Sinners, the most nominated film in Oscars history, and KPop Demon Hunters, a global pop culture sensation,” Kapoor and Mullan said in a joint statement. “These show moments are more than just performances—they expand into cinematic tributes that celebrate the relationship between music and storytelling and why these films resonated so deeply with audiences around the world.”
EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami will perform “Golden,” which is nominated for Best Original Song and was a smash hit on music charts, during a Kpop Demon Hunters segment that features a “fusion of traditional Korean instrumentalists and dance” and celebrates “the folklore and cultural inspiration that anchors the story” of the film.
Miles Canton and Raphael Saadiq will perform the Oscar-nominated original song “I Lied To You” during a Sinners moment that “explores the role music plays in the film’s storytelling and translates this into a cinematic live moment,” according to a release. The two artists will be joined by Misty Copeland, Eric Gales, Buddy Guy, Brittany Howard, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Jayme Lawson, Li Jun Li, Bobby Rush, Shaboozey and Alice Smith.
Also scheduled to perform during the show are Josh Groban and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
Additional performers will be announced leading up to the ceremony.
The Academy Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles on March 15. The ceremony will be televised live on ABC and can be streamed live on Hulu at 4 p.m. PT.
