UTA Signs Rico Nasty For Global Representation

Rising rapper Rico Nasty has signed with United Talent Agency for global representation in all areas. An announcement from the global talent, entertainment, sports, and advisory company notes that UTA will work “to secure opportunities across live touring, brand collaborations, and more.”
Rico Nasty’s new agents at UTA are Caroline Yim and Jon Briks.
The rapper, born Maria Kelly, released her deluxe album LETHAL-ER late last year following the May release of her third studio album, LETHAL, which includes the fan-favorite single “PEPPER.”
UTA’s announcement described the LP as a “significant transition for Rico’s artistry, forgoing sonic expectations to connect with a truer-to-form sound” and adds that with her rockstar look, “Rico’s essence sets herself apart within the rap space.”
Rico got her start with the single “iCarly” in 2016, with the hit breaking out on YouTube, with UTA noting that her indie rise “established her iconic ‘Sugar Trap sound.” She followed this with collaborations with Lil Yachty (“Hey Arnold”) and Doja Cat (“Tia Tamera”). Her catalog also includes the studio albums Nightmare Vacation and Las Ruinas, along with mixtapes Anger Management and Nasty.
Last year she announced a fall tour that included a performance at Riot Fest and headline dates at venues including New York’s Irving Plaza, Atlanta’s Tabernacle, House of Blues Houston and Los Angeles’ The Fonda Theatre. Stay tuned for more tour dates.
Up next, Rico will make her acting debut with a recurring role in the Apple TV+ series “Margo’s Got Money Troubles,” which stars Elle Fanning and Nicole Kidman.
Her other ventures outside music include appearing in Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty Show: Volume Two short film for Amazon Studios, and collaborating with Hayley Williams’ hair color brand “Good Dye Young” for its limited-edition “Creator Colors” collection.
Rico is represented by Mark Mercado and Leah Hodgekiss for Fly South Management.
