2026 Women of Live: Amy Troendly Buck
Amy Troendly Buck
AEG Presents | VP of Marketing, Global Touring
RECENT CONCERT THAT CHANGED HER LIFE | Brandi Carlile at Xfinity in Philly.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PAST YEAR
“The past year has seen an insane increase of touring projects for our team (highlight!), so strategy leading to success has been a focus on efficiency, streamlining processes and growing our team to help manage the volume. A personal highlight was seeing Benson Boone live with my kids at MSG and celebrating our team that worked on that project. I have also gotten to work with a lot of female artists over the past year like Sabrina Carpenter, Megan Moroney, Kelsea Ballerini, Brandi Carlile and more and, to me, amplifying female voices both on stage and on our team is my passion.”
FROM MUSICAL THEATER TO PROMOTION
“I started out majoring in Musical Theater, but I really did not enjoy auditioning and the feeling of competition among friends. My mentor knew I needed to keep my scholarship and asked me to note what I did like about my major – and to me that was getting people out to see our plays and musicals. I didn’t realize that was called a ‘promoter’ at the time, but he developed a music major that also focused on marketing. That major included an internship senior year where I interned at PromoWest Productions the opening year of what is now KEMBA Live! I was promoted to marketing assistant before I graduated college and have been promoting shows ever since! There is nothing better than live music.”
ON LOOKING FOR BIASES & KEEPING AN OPEN DOOR
“I do think women have so much more opportunity than we had 20 years ago – the leaders I still look up to pushed for that. We can and should continue to drive the agenda for women in leadership positions, supporting opportunities for career development and mentorship, and look for biases that might not be obvious when we are focused on the day to day. I try very hard to keep an open door for women in our department as I was lucky to learn from some very strong women in live: Becky Long, Elyse Rogers, Nicole Neal, Kathi Scharnikow (and today Debra Rathwell!), to name a few.”
HER GUIDING PHILOSOPHY
“Treat everyone with kindness and respect because you will work with them again and they will remember.”
