TEEN GIRL SQUAD | “If you pay attention to teenage girls, you understand where culture is going.”

ShirinNury

Over the course of 2025, CAA’s Shirin Nury was instrumental in many of the biggest tours of the year, having a hand in seemingly every breakout artist out there.

Tate McRae sold out three Forum shows and three Madison Square Garden dates last fall; Gracie Abrams emerged as a global superstar, with high-profile festival slots and sellouts including multiple nights at major arenas over the summer. Conan Gray completed his largest amphitheater tour to date last fall and is gearing up for a major arena run in spring 2026; and Charli xcx emerged as a cultural phenomenon, with a sold-out “BRAT” arena tour that included four nights at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

As a next-generation but firmly established power music agent, Nury continues to help develop the next gen of headlining talent, with recent signings including ADÉLA, Alessi Rose, Devon Again and Skye Newman.

Pollstar: What inspired you to work in the live industry?
Shirin Nury: I grew up in a strict household in the Valley, where most of my teenage years were spent sneaking out of my bedroom window to go to The Roxy, The Whisky and the Troubadour. Experiencing collective emotion alongside a group of like-minded fans is where I felt my best. I’ve spent my entire career seeking to replicate that feeling for others, to build spaces where young women feel safe, seen and empowered while giving a platform for artists who want to push progressive thought and culture forward. I firmly believe teenage girls are at the center of it all – the strongest barometer of culture.

Who in the business do you credit with helping you the most in your career and why?
(CAA’s) Carole Kinzel. The qualities I admire most about Carole lie in the dualities she embodies. She fights fiercely for her artists, yet always leads with grace. She brings a positive outlook to even the most high-pressure negotiations. She manages to be the greatest teacher, an expert in her craft, while simultaneously remaining a constant student, pouring her entire heart into all that she does. It’s an honor to call her my greatest mentor and dear friend.
