2026 Women of Live: Voviette D. Morgan
Voviette D. Morgan
LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games | Senior Vice President, Safety & Security
FUN FACT | (Likely?) the only Women of Live honoree who served in the FBI.

With more than 25 years of experience as a proven leader in risk mitigation strategies, initiatives, insider threat and intelligence, this veteran FBI agent has operated with the Bureau across four continents, developing relationships with multiple national and international law enforcement communities, intelligence agencies and private sector businesses.
Voviette D. Morgan is now heading up security for Los Angeles’ 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, serving as the Senior Vice President of Safety & Security.
In September Morgan took part in a roundtable with representatives from FIFA and the Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games that was hosted by the House Committee on Homeland Security’s Task Force on Enhancing Security for Special Events in the United States. Morgan addressed the Committee on some of the security issues L28 is focused on.
“There is a strong role for federal, state and local governments to provide law enforcement resources to assure a safe and secure Games,” the Los Angeles native said. “I was born here, which makes these upcoming Games very personal and special to me. We are expecting them to draw 15 million spectators from around the world, along with 12,000 athletes and 4,480 Paralympic participants.”
At least 12 subcommittees have been formed to deal with pressing needs surrounding the event, including critical infrastructure, transportation, intelligence, crisis management and venue security.
“As I work with my federal, state and local counterparts, we are facing unprecedented cybersecurity challenges,” Morgan added. “The persistent threat of unmanned aircraft systems has surged in recent years, making the detection and mitigation of drones one of the overarching concerns for any major sporting event. …
“Lastly, one of the biggest challenges for the games is facilitating transportation for the 15 million visitors and spectators, as well as the athletes competing in the games. These examples are simply meant to show the scope and depth of the issues that government at all levels needs to work through in preparation for the games.”
