Aura Festival Launches In Italy

A new event called Aura Festival launches in Sicily, Italy, May 1-2, 2026. Located within the striking surroundings of the Parco Archeologico di Segesta in Castellammare del Golfo, visitors will be surrounded by incredibly rich history as they listen to electronic sets by Francesco Del Garda, Oshana, Onur Özer, Quest, Josh Baker, Traumer, and more.
Aura Festival will be limited to 4,000-capacity in year one. Performances will start in the day, lasting into the night, from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. to be specific. The lineup has been curated as to reflect the shift from dancing under the sun to under the stars.
As several agents have been telling Pollstar over the past year or two, there’s a real market for day-time raves, as generations of former club-goers are now parents, who still appreciate a good rave, but also a good night’s sleep.
The debut lineup reflects the cultured outlook go the festival with respected selectors and rising talents from across the house, minimal and tech scene, according to a statement from the promoters behind the event, Unlocked and Sensazione Stupenda.
The archaeological park in the hills of western Sicily near Castellammare del Golfo, where Aura Festival takes place, is one of the island’s most significant heritage sites. It is home to the well-preserved Doric Temple of Segesta, and an ancient Greek theatre overlooking the surrounding countryside – a magical setting that makes Aura Festival a unique experience.
Pollstar was told that, as the festival moves into the night, a visual and light design project will enhance the temple and transform it into a contemporary stage.
