Wacken Adds 50
Wacken Open Air, which turns 35 this year, added more than 50 new names to its 2026 lineup, headlined by Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Powerwolf, In Flames, Arch Enemy, who’ll all perform on the Holy Ground in the small village of Wacken, Germany, July 29–Aug. 1.
Among the lates additions are Lacuna Coil, Alcest, Kadavar, Fit For An Autopsy, Of Mice And Men, Subway To Sally, Deafheaven, Alien Ant Farm, Kärbholz, Finsterforst, Year Of The Goat, Temple Of The Absurd, The Other, Mambo Kurt, Velvet Rush, Heartless Human Harvest, Saviourself, Wüstenberg, and more.
“The mix of established bands, scene icons and up-and-coming acts perfectly reflects what Wacken has stood for over more than three decades,” commented festival co-founder Thomas Jensen. Co-founder Holger Hübner addec, “The anniversary edition of W:O:A will showcase the full spectrum of our favorite music, and we are very grateful to welcome our metal community to Wacken for the 35th time this summer!”
Promoters also informed the public, that one small change to the line-up comes with happy news: Nita Strauss will not be performing this year, as the guitarist is expecting a child. The Wacken team sends their best wishes to her and her family!
Some final tier tickets offering full festival access including camping are on sale for €351 ($404).

Romania
Electric Castle Announces Full Lineup
Teddy Swims, Chase & Status (DJ Set) have joined previously announced headliners The Cure and Twenty One Pilots at Electric Castle, which returns to Banffy Castle, Romania, July 16-19.
The lineup, which is now complete, also includes Kneecap, Wet Leg, Nothing But Thieves, Sleaford Mods, Dogstar (Ft. Keanu Reeves), Yung Lean & Bladee, Lp, Wilkinson, Sg Lewis, Skream & Benga, Subtronics, and many more.
Tudor Costinaș, head of comms at Electric Castle, said, “We are so excited to finally share the full line-up for Electric Castle 2026. Every year we try to build a lineup that feels genuinely wide-ranging, bringing together huge global names alongside artists people might be discovering for the first time, and we feel this is a fantastic example of just that. Electric Castle is always filled with interesting twists and turns, fun surprises and good times together. We can’t wait to meet everyone back at the castle again for our 12th edition this summer.”
Tickets are on sale, starting at €169 ($159) for general festival access, excluding camping, which is available for €69 ($80). There are discounted youth tickets and VIP offers on sale, too.

Bilbao BBK Live Turns 20
Bilbao BBK Live has announced its full lineup for its 20th anniversary edition. The bill is led Robbie Williams, Calvin Harris, David Byrne, Lily Allen, IDLES, CMAT and Interpol, with the most recent addition of FKA twigs to a stacked lineup that’ll perform on Mount Kobetamendi, overlooking Bilbao, in Spain’s scenic Basque Country, July 9-11.
Also confirmed are Dani Fernández, Paris Paloma, Belén Aguilera, Apparat, Alabama Shakes, Belle And Sebastian, La M.O.D.A, Richie Hawtin’s DEX EFX XOX, Soulwax, Tomora, Xoel López, Idles, Charlotte De Witte, Zaz, Horsegiirl, and more.
More than 80 artists will take one of several stages at the festival. Three-day tickets are on sale starting at €180 ($207) or €218 ($250) including camping, and day tickets at €65 ($75) are on sale.

Portugal
21 Savage, Central Cee & Rema At Rock In Rio Lisbon 2026
Rock in Rio Lisbon has revealed the final headliner and full lineup for the closing day of its 11th edition, with rap superstar 21 Savage, UK rap phenomenon Central Cee and Afrobeats trailblazer Rema leading what promoters have described as “the festival’s biggest ever closing day on June 28, 2026.”
They join an already stellar bill featuring Linkin Park, Cypress Hill, Kaiser Chiefs, Grandson, Sepultura, The Pretty Reckless and Hoobastank, Katy Perry, Charlie Puth, Alok, Audrey Nuna, Rod Stewart, Cyndi Lauper, Shaggy, Joss Stone and The Wailers.
As is tradition, Rock in Rio Lisbon takes place at Parque Tejo in the Portuguese capital across two weekends, June 20-21, and 27-28. Tickets are on sale, with day tickets starting at €89 ($102), and weekend passes at €157 ($180). Various premium and VIP options are available.
