Sea.Hear.Now Topped By Mumford & Sons, The Strokes Sept. 19-20 In Asbury Park

SHN26

C3 Presents’ Sea.Hear.Now festival will feature more than 25 artists on three music stages Sept. 19-20 at North Beach and Bradley Park in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Sept. 19-20, with a talent lineup topped by Mumford & Sons, The Strokes, The Offspring, Goo Goo Dolls, Fontaines D.C., The War On Drugs, Moby, Chaka Khan, Pixies and more.

Two-day and single-day General Admission, GA+, VIP and Platinum Tickets will be available via presale on Thursday, March 26, at 10 a.m. The announcement stresses this is the best chance to score tickets as the general onsale follows at 11 a.m. “if any tickets remain.”

Started in 2018 with partners including rock photographer Danny Clinch, Sea.Hear.Now continues as both a destination event offering a unique setting while bringing a major music festival to an underserved locale, leading C3 Presents’ and promoter Tim Sweetwood to develop other successful beach and boardwalk-adjacent events like Oceans Calling in Maryland and Minnesota Yacht Club in Saint Paul, this year headlined by The Lumineers, Matchbox Twenty and The Strokes July 17-19. While not the scale of longstanding multi-genre festivals like Lollapalooza or Austin City Limits, C3’s more boutique offerings have grown to well into the 30,000 to 50,000-per-day capacity themselves.

“I’m always looking for the next best site and the next best idea, hopefully something that somebody hasn’t thought about before,” Sweetwood said in a previous Pollstar interview. “We’re trying to always introduce something new on a year-to-year basis, it’s just whether we can find the right spot or not. On average, I’m trying to do at least one more new one a year, if we get lucky.”
