Alejandro Aranda Announces ‘Hondo World Tour’

Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Alejandro Aranda has unveiled the routing for the “Hondo World Tour,” with stops booked in Toronto, New York, Philadelphia, Vancouver, Denver, Los Angeles and more.
Aranda, who was formerly known as Scarypoolparty, burst onto the music scene as a finalist on the 17th season of “American Idol.” After impressing the judges with two original compositions during his audition, he continued showing off his own material with seven original tracks throughout the contestant. As a press release points out, he was the only contestant in the show’s history to do so and his “unique guitar playing style and stirring vocals garnered support as a fan favorite, and carried him to the season finale where he ultimately came in second.”
Last year he released his most recent album, Farewell Superstar, and today he’s shared his latest single, “Queen,” as a Bandcamp exclusive. The song can be streamed/purchased via Bandcamp before its official release on April 6. Plus, the music video is available via YouTube.
The “Hondo World Tour” – which shares its name with his website, www.hondoworld.com – starts with a June 4 show at Chicago’s Reggie’s and concludes with three nights in California, wrapping up Aug. 7 at Anaheim’s House of Blues.
“Hondo World is a huge step into a new direction, especially with this amazing tour announcement. A live show that’s gonna be intimate, but bringing you larger than life performances, From pop, to classical, to folk, and jazz, you’re gonna get it all with this show,” Aranda said in a statement.
Aranda is managed by The Outlier Group and his tour dates are booked by FATA Booking Agency.
The general onsale starts this Friday March 27 at 10am local time. Check out the routing below.
