The Teragram Ballroom, a beloved music lounge near Downtown Los Angeles, announced the hiring of Molly Majorack as its talent buyer, bolstering Teragram Presents’ team in the influential Southern California market.

Majorack comes from Live Nation, where she served as talent buyer for Orange County venues such as the Observatory and Constellation Rooms in Santa Ana, House of Blues and The Parish in Anaheim, as well as the Riverside Municipal Auditorium and Fox Performing Arts Center.

In her new role, Majorack will work closely alongside other Teragram Presents talent buyers at its other L.A. venues: Jordan Anderson at The Bellwether and David Murphy at Moroccan Lounge. The triad will work together to provide acts with a unique pathway for growth in the influential L.A. market.

“I’m incredibly happy and excited to have her in the family,” Michael Swier of Teragram Presents said in a statement. “Molly’s reputation precedes her, as expressed by those who have personally worked with her and by the accolades the industry bestows upon her; we welcome her with arms wide open.”

Prior to working the SoCal market, Majorack booked the U Street Music Hall for I.M.P. (9:30 Club). She’s collaborated with agents, promoters and artists from all genres, bringing an understanding of the local music scene as well as the large musical landscape.

“This role marries the two loves of my life: the city of Los Angeles and live music in a great venue,” said Majorack. “The opportunity feels like a dream realized, and I am so excited to put on amazing shows in such a legendary room. There is a kind of magic in seeing shows in intimate venues that keeps pulling me back in, and I’m very much looking forward to being a part of that magic all over again in a room as iconic as Teragram.”

She succeeds Scott Simoneaux, who served as talent buyer for the iconic L.A. venue since it opened in 2015.

“During his eleven-year tenure, Scott has been a loyal defender and a fierce advocate for the Teragram, and most of all, he became a true friend,” Swier said. “I wish him all the success he deserves in this next life.”

The Teragram Ballroom is an L.A. institution, and has hosted artists such as Ty Segall, Lucy Dacus, Jon Batiste, Bring Me The Horizon, Mt. Joy, Indigo Girls, Lord Huron, Johnny Marr, Chris Cornell and many more.
