Exclusive: IAG Signs Slayer, Mastodon, Kerry King For Agency Representation Outside U.S./Canada

Talent agency Independent Artist Group has signed thrash titans Slayer, influential heavy-prog band Mastodon and Slayer co-founding guitarist Kerry King for representation outside the U.S. and Canada.
The heavy crop of new clients were signed by and will be represented by IAG global head of artist development Nick Storch and global touring executive vice president Mike Arfin.
“Slayer, Mastodon and Kerry King have passionate fanbases based on their incredible artistry, discographies and track record of extraordinary live performances,” Storch and Arfin said in a joint statement provided to Pollstar. “We can’t wait to get started building upon their tremendous international popularity to create memorable tours that match the scale and legacy they have created.”
The signings continues IAG’s growing roster and influence in International touring, the announcement states, while continuing to demonstrate the agency’s bonafides in the realms of rock and heavy music.
The managers for Slayer, Mastodon and Kerry King continue to be Rick Sales and Kristen Mulderig of Rick Sales Entertainment. The bands are represented on the agency side in the U.S. and Canada by Pinnacle Entertainment.
The announcement notes Kerry King will tour both as the lead guitarist for Slayer and as a solo artist. The band, a pioneer of thrash metal forming in the early 1980s and enduring with worldwide appeal, had embarked on a farewell tour in 2018 but has performed at select high-profile dates including large-scale festivals in recent years. King launched a solo career in 2024 with a debut album, From Hell I Rise and backed up longtime collaborator Paul Bostaph.
King will go back into the studio this April to record his second solo album and plans to kick off a new tour in early 2027, according to IAG.
