Hans Zimmer closed “The Next Level” European tour with a spectacular series of sold-out shows, culminating with two nights at MEO Arena in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon, March 31 and April 1.

According to a press release from the tour’s promoter Semmel Concerts, “‘The Next Level’ captivated audiences across the continent. The multi-time Oscar® and Grammy® winner once again astonished fans with a breathtaking live experience and spectacular production.”

The show belnded electronic sound design, powerful orchestration, and a striking architectural stage concept, setting “new industry standards,” according to Semmel Concerts.

The production traveled with 150 personnel, including band members, brass section, choir, crew, and production team, supported by 20 trucks and nine nightliners. Each performance required 100 tons of equipment, assembled and dismantled from city to city.

The newly designed stage spanned 17 meters wide, 15 meters deep, and 5 meters high, featuring three lifts. To deliver Zimmer’s signature sound, 920 speakers generated 955,400 watts of power – exceeding the energy consumption of the legendary Wacken Open Air.

By April 2, 2026, the tour had completed 50 sold-out shows in 17 countries in Europe’s largest arenas, thrilling 600,000 fans and closing what Semmel described as “one of the most successful and ambitious film music tours ever staged.”

Highlights taken from the Pollstar Boxoffice include a sold out Roig Arena in Valencia, Spain, March 26, where Zimmer moved 11,834 tickets at a $1,761,049 gross; or, from the UK leg in December, when he sold 15,262 tickets at Co-op Live Manchester, grossing $1,834,085, Dec. 2; or two sold-out shows at The O2 London, Nov. 30-Dec. 1, moving 31,487 tickets and grossing $4,479,172 across both shows.

Dieter Semmelmann, CEO Semmel Concerts: “The idea behind Hans Zimmer Live – The Next Level was to push the concept further than ever before. Hans had a very clear artistic vision, and together with his team at RCI Global we translated that into a touring production designed specifically for major arenas across the globe. It combines Zimmer’s iconic cinematic sound with new electronic elements, a powerful live ensemble and an entirely new stage and lighting concept.“
