Sam Barber Extends ‘The American Route Tour’ Through December

Rising country singer/songwriter Sam Barber has extended the itinerary for “The American Route Tour” including a stop at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, along with Detroit’s Masonic Temple Theatre, Chicago’s The Salt Shed Outdoors, New York’s The Rooftop at Pier 17 and more.

The news follows last week’s release of Barber’s sophomore album, Broken View, via Atlantic Outpost. The album was co-written and co-produced by Barber and Joe Becker (“Indigo,” “Straight and Narrow”) with additional songs co-produced with Aaron Dessner (Taylor Swift, Noah Kahan). The LP is described as “a sweeping and introspective reflection on life’s complexities, exploring themes of love, loss and self-discovery.”
Barber, who was raised on a farm in southeast Missouri and got his start playing music as a teenager after picking up his great-grandfather’s Gibson guitar, has shared stages with the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Ed Sheeran.
He has a few festival appearances lined up in April, including Chilifest in Snook, Texas, and Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California, and then his headline dates start next month with a May 7 show in Omaha, Nebraska, at The Astro Amphitheater. The new gigs are booked from May through December, wrapping with a show at Revel in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dec. 10.
Barber will be joined on the road on select dates by Michael Marcagi, Bebe Stockwell, Waylon Wyatt and Wild Horses.
