Chris Brown Set To Release New Album And Tour With Usher

Grammy-winning R&B icon Chris Brown will release his 12 th studio album, BROWN, on May 8 on his own Chris Brown Entertainment/RCA Records label, with a new single, “Obvious,” the second single off the new album after the Grammy-nominated “It Depends,” featuring Bryson Tiller. At the same time, Brown, whose successful “Breezy Bowl XX Tour” finished No. 7 on Pollstar’s list of 2025’s top-grossing tours of the year, announced a North American tour with Usher, dubbed “The R&B Tour” for Raymond & Brown.

Dates for the joint tour with Usher have not been announced.

Brown’s tour raked in more than $298 million, selling 2.06 million tickets, giving him the highest live score of any performer appearing on the Artist Power Index chart, topping the LIVE75 chart four times between June and October, including the first artist to sell out three nights at National Park in Washington, DC.

Usher finished No. 98 on the Year End Top 100 Worldwide Tours Chart, with $33 million in gross sales from 212,323 tickets.

The upcoming album follows Brown’s Grammy-winning 11:11 (Deluxe), which was named Best R&B Album, featuring the platinum-certified single, “Residuals.” Brown also nabbed the most wins at last year’s NAACP Image Awards, including Outstanding Male Artist, which he’s won four times, tied with Usher for the most in its history. He also won two BET Awards last year, including Best Male R&B/Pop Artist and Viewer’s Choice Award (for “Residuals”).

Brown released two singles last year, including “It Depends,” with an alternate version featuring Bryson Tiller and Usher, and “Holy Blindfold.” His “Breezy Bowl XX” tour celebrated the 20^th anniversary of the release of his first album. He stands as the R&B singer with the most Hot 100 entries in Billboard history and Top 10 with the most RIAA multi-platinum certifications of artists across all genres.
