Lambrini Girls Miss Coachella, Reschedule U.S. Dates Following Singer’s Injury

Brighton UK duo Lambrini Girls have had to pull out of this year’s Coachella Festival and delay their North American tour after vocalist/guitarist Phoebe Lunny sustained a fractured neck and an acute brain injury.
The political noise-punk pair, which also includes Selin Macieira-Bosgelmez, made the announcement on initially misdiagnosed, delaying her treatment. Doctors have since ordered her not to fly or perform for at least six weeks.
Lunny posted: “To all American ticket holders: it’s dark times, especially in the states. There are so many good folks who are carving out community and lifting each other up in the face of fascism. Making space for subversion and resistance is at the core of what this band is about.
After Coachella Debut, Lambrini Girls To Set Out On
North American Headline Run
“We are so gutted, guys. We want to be there so badly. If it was a broken leg, I would do a Dave Grohl and play it. This isn’t something we are taking lightly and we are really sad. We hope and pray there’s some universe we get to play next year instead.”
The band’s 2025 debut album, Who Let the Dogs Out, hit the Top 20 on the UK chart. The pair takes its name from a brand of beverage described by Lunny as “toilet wine for sluts.” The group is known for their such songs as “Help Me I’m Gay” about “queer trivialization” and supporting gender-affirming care for transgender youth.
