Ticketing platfom Tixr has partnered with Colorado independent promoter and venue owner Z2 Entertainment, a deal that includes ticketing at the Fox and Boulder Theaters in Colorado and takes effect April 26.

Z2, which hosts more than 700 events annually and sells 225,000 tickets annually according to the announcement, formed in 2010 through the merger of the Fox (625 capacity) and Boulder (1,150 capacity) Theaters and operates and books talent in-house for both venues. In 2015, Z2 became the exclusive promoter for Chautauqua Auditorium’s Summer Concert Series and expanded into Fort Collins in 2019 with the acquisition of the Aggie Theatre.

“Z2 Entertainment is very excited about our new partnership with Tixr, said Cheryl Liguori, CEO at Z2 Entertainment. “The innovation Tixr provides is vital to the functionality we need for our team to manage complex events across multiple venues and keep pace with the modern fan experience.”

“Z2 has built something rare: a deeply loyal fanbase and a venue network that anchors live music across an entire state,” adds Sara Mertz, Vice President of Music Partnerships at Tixr. “This partnership gives Z2 the tools to deepen that connection directly with their fans and the data to keep building on it. Colorado is an important market for us, and Z2 is exactly the kind of operator we built this platform for.”

Z2 presents events across Colorado, including 10 Mile Music Hall and Strings Music Pavilion.

Z2 Entertainment’s adoption of Tixr will go into effect April 26, with features including reserved seating, resale, upgrades and refund-to-credit functionality as well as integrations such as Prism for talent booking and calendar management.

Other promoters and event producers adopting Tixr in recent years include Mass Concerts (Northeast), Rising Sun Presents (Northeast), Navy Pier (Chicago, IL), Country Splash (Cabo San Lucas), Chief’s on Broadway (Nashville), Ramova Theater (Chicago) and Cook’s Garage (Lubbock, Texas).
