Editors just released their first new music since 2022’s studio album EBM in the form of “Call It In”, and announced a 2027 tour through the UK and Europe for 2027.

The new dates come in addition to the band’s 2026 summer calendar of festival appearances. The band also opens a new venue in Birmingham, The Warehouse at Villa Park, July 9. The full list of dates can be found below.

Editors’ last box office report from Europe is from two sold-out shows at AFAS Live in Amsterdam, Netherlands, March 5-6, 2024, where the band moved 11,886 tickets, grossing, $579,816.

Formed in 2002, having met at university in Birmingham, England, Editors have released seven studio albums all of which achieved top 10 status in the UK.

Their debut album, The Back Room (2005) received a Mercury Prize nomination and the 2007 follow up, An End Has A Start, reached number 1 in the UK and went on to earn a Brit Award nomination. Their 2009 album In This Light And On This Evening also hit the top spot in the UK album charts and they released their last album, EBM in 2022.

Speaking on the new single, “Call It In”, frontman Tom Smith has said, “We spent a lot of summer ‘25 holed up in rural Gloucestershire, working on songs with all of us in a room, in a more traditional band set up. ‘Call It In’ is one of the newest songs we worked on, it’s a song about asking for help, really, in the presence of an existential dread, finding solace and comfort in someone close, escaping the deafening noise of modern life.”

Tickets for the newly announced 2027 tour go on sale April 30, 11 a.m. local time in Europe, and on May 1, 10 a.m. in the UK. Editors are repped by WME in North America, and International Talent Booking in the rest of the world.
