Live Nation Spain has partnered with Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio (UAX) and UAX Mare Nostrum to launch four new academic programs designed to prepare the next generation of professionals in the fast-growing entertainment industry.

“This partnership combines academic excellence with practical industry knowledge to offer a training program with an international focus, aligned with the industry’s evolving needs. It also reinforces Live Nation Spain’s commitment to talent development, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of its well-established Master’s in Live Music,” according to the press announcement.

The launch comes amid continued growth in the live music sector, with an 11.24% year-over-year increase in Spain, reaching €807.2 million ($946.8 million), according to figures from the 2026 annual report by Spain’s promoters association APM.

Added to this is Live Nation’s recent announcement of the creation of a new venue in collaboration with Oak View Group (OVG) and Atlético de Madrid. “With the upcoming opening of another large facility in Madrid, there is a growing need for highly qualified professionals to support this expanding ecosystem,” the press release continues.

In addition to the existing Master’s in Live Music at UAX, the partnership with Live Nation Spain will add four new programs to the university’s academic offering:

• Master’s in Management of Culture, Sport, Media, and Entertainment.
• Bachelor’s in Composition and Applied Music Creation.
• MBA in Music Business.
• Program in AI Applied to Media Creation.

Each of these programs will combine academic training with practical experience in key areas such as management, production, technology, and creative development.

It is worth noting that the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts at Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio is the only faculty in Spain dedicated to undergraduate and graduate studies in these artistic fields.

As a strategic partner, Live Nation Spain will play a central role in designing the programs, offering students access to the live music ecosystem.

Students will have the opportunity to participate in masterclasses, meet with industry professionals, and enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences at major productions. In addition, top-performing students will have the opportunity to secure internships at Live Nation and its network of partner companies.

With this initiative, Live Nation Spain is strengthening its position as a key player in talent development and reaffirming its commitment to the future of the global entertainment industry.
