Little Big Town Announces ‘For The Art Of It Tour’

Little Big Town has unveiled the routing for a North American trek, “For The Art Of It Tour,” in support of the group’s forthcoming album, It’s A Dying Art.
The multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning country band – made up of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook – are set to hit the road in September, starting with a Sept. 24 show at St. Petersburg, Florida’s Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater. Stops include Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, and more, with the final show of the run wrapping up Nov. 22 at Toronto’s Massey Hall.
Marking the band’s 12th studio album, It’s A Dying Art is due out Aug. 28 via MCA. The album is co-produced by Little Big Town’s own Karen Fairchild and two-time GRAMMY® winner Gena Johnson, who has worked with Jason Isbell, Dolly Parton and Brandi Carlile.
The LP is described as “a blend of intimate storytelling, emotional balladry, and standout collaborations with friends including Ashley Monroe, Jason Isbell, and Kelsea Ballerini,” as Little Big Town leans “into the sound and spirit of human-made music, embracing imperfection, emotion, and lived experience.”
Little Big Town debuted the lead track “Hey There Sunshine” at the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards, earning praise including The Tennessean calling it “a hopeful, healing moment.” The album also includes the breakup song “Over and Over.”
An artist presale for the tour starts Tuesday, June 9 at 12:00 PM local time. Following additional presales running throughout the week, the general on-sale starts Friday, June 12 at 10:00 AM local time at LiveNation.com. VIP packages and elevated fan experiences will be available in each city.
