The promoters of Rock am Ring are celebrating the most successful on-sale in the history of the festival, with more than 48,000 tickets sold within the first hour.

Rock am Ring just closed its 41st edition, June 5-7, and traditionally went on sale with next year’s tickets straight after. And, according to a press release from the festival’s promoters PRK DreamHaus, FKP Scorpio, and eventimpresents, tickets have never sold faster.

The 48,000 tickets already gone represent more than half of available tickets for the 90,000-capacity festival.

It’s also a tradition to announce the first headliner for the following year during the festival. In 2027, it will be blink-182, who’ll make their long-awaited debut at the Nürburgring.

The American pop-punk icons will perform at Rock am Ring for the first time in the band’s history, marking “one of the most requested debut appearances in the festival’s history,” according to promoters.

“The extraordinary atmosphere and enthusiasm we experienced at the Nürburgring this past weekend are already reflected in the ticket sales for 2027. We are deeply grateful for this record-breaking start. Today, Rock am Ring brings together more generations of music fans than ever before—and it is precisely this cross-generational passion that makes the festival so special,” says Matt Schwarz, CEO of PRK DreamHaus and promoter of Rock am Ring.

The lineup of Rock am Ring 2026 was led by Limp Bizkit, Linking Park, Papa Roach, Volbeat, Electric Callboy, Sabaton, Iron Maiden, The Offspring, and Bad Omens. Pollstar took a deep-dive into Rock am Ring after its 40th anniversary in 2025, and ahead of this year’s edition. Read all about it here.
