.idk. Collaborates with Indigo On Weekend Of Juneteenth Programming

Rapper, producer, and filmmaker .idk. has announced a collaboration with Indigo, a new artist-to-fan community platform, as the multitalented star prepares for a weekend of programming in Washington, D.C., in celebration of Juneteenth.
Today’s announcement about the collaboration explains that the “programming will bring together music, film, conversation, community, and culture across Juneteenth weekend with .idk. creating a direct bridge between fans, institutions, and the larger world around his work.”
The holiday weekend festivities kick off with a June 19 celebration at the Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum in Washington, DC (1801 Fort Place, SE) from 4-8 pm, followed by .idk.’s June 20th Son de l’amour / Fête de la Musique programming at the French Embassy. The schedule at the Embassy event will include “live performances, cultural conversation, and an intimate screening of PARDON ME, .idk.’s documentary exploring the criminal justice system and his own experience with incarceration as a young man.”
“I’m excited to partner with a platform that truly gets it,” .idk. said in a statement. “Oftentimes tech platforms in music don’t understand the nuance of community, but Indigo is completely changing that aspect of the landscape.”
The .idk. partnership marks the first artist collaboration for Indigo, which is described as “a new artist-forward startup that will expand how fan culture can evolve beyond passive audiences into active communities.” The platform, which was founded by Stanford graduates Demi Weitz, Luc Giraud, and Saskia Giraud, is expected to launch in beta this summer and more artist activations planned for the coming weeks. Today’s announcement goes on to say that “through Indigo, artists can share unreleased music, voice memos, behind-the-scenes content, and exclusive experiences that offer fans a closer look into their creative process and vision. Fans can stream content, unlock exclusive access, support artists through microtransactions, gift content to friends, and engage with the broader world surrounding the work.”
