‘No Glasto, No Problem,’ Says Live Nation UK Fan Data

With Glastonbury taking a fallow year in 2026 to let the green pastures around Worthy Farm recover, Live Nation UK highlights the wealth of alternative events shaping the UK’s live entertainment summer.
Live Nation expects round 4.3 million fans at its concerts, festivals and live events across the UK and Ireland in June month alone.
“This week and next are shaping up to be the busiest of the year, with roughly one million fans attending shows each weekend,” a press release states.
That activity isn’t limited to London, but the entire country, with almost two-thirds of these fans attending shows outside of the British capital. “And at every level too,” the press release continues, highlighting that “44% of London shows this summer are in grassroots and club venues under 1,500 capacity.”
Live Nation’s internal fan data also shows that some one million fans will visit UK shows between Thursday and Sunday this week, June 25-28.
This weekend’s highlights include Bad Bunny in London (the first Latin artist to headline a UK stadium); Metallica in Cardiff, Wales; Lewis Capaldi and Teddy Swims in Exeter; McFly at Cannock Chase, Staffordshire; and The Lumineers in Glasgow, Scotland.
And of course Harry Styles continuing his 12-night run at Wembley Stadium, breaking the venue’s record for the most shows by an artist in a single year.
Across the summer, the UK is hosting headliners from nearly every continent, including Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, BTS, Bon Jovi and Ariana Grande.
“This global list of artists, the most international yet, reflects the UK’s role as a must-play destination on the international touring circuit,” Live Nation’s press release concludes.
Denis Desmond, Chairman, Live Nation UK & Ireland, comments, “This month, 4.3 million people will be at Live Nation events across the UK and Ireland, with one million people enjoying concerts and festivals this weekend alone.
“What matters is what sits behind those numbers. It is the artists putting on incredible shows for their fans, and people meeting old friends, making new ones, discovering new music and making memories together. At the same time, live music is contributing to the economy and supporting businesses, from pubs and restaurants to hotels, shops and transport.”
