Rico Nasty Sets Headlining Tour, New Album

On the heels of announcing her new album, RX, set to release July 24, Rico Nasty has now unveiled a headlining tour. The new dates will coincide with her tour alongside Hayley Williams, during which she has been the supporting act.
Rico Nasty’s headlining tour begins on Aug. 30 in St. Louis, MO, with stops featuring shows in Brooklyn, Buffalo, NY, Little Rock, AR, San Antonio, TX, and more. See full tour routing below.
Artist pre-sale begins on Wednesday, July 8 at 10:00 a.m. local time, and general on-sale starts on Friday, July 10 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Fans can grab tickets to the headlining shows here.
As for her new album, RX, the project was entirely produced by longtime collaborator Kenneth Blume, formerly known as KennyBeats. The album was conceived while the Washington, D.C., native worked on AppleTv+’s Margot’s Got Money Troubles, with Rico Nasty feeling inspired to create an LP that reminded her fans why they fell in love with her artistry. Naturally, this led to Nasty’s re-linking with Blume, who worked alongside her to create the 2019 collaborative mixtape Anger Management, as well as singles on other projects.
“I missed someone that was honest with me,” Rico said. “And I missed someone who knew me back then, before I had any success. I felt like if I’m going to get back to doing me, I should go back to someone who can be real with me, somebody who’s not too serious or draining.”
With the album set to release on July 24, Rico has issued a new single called “CUPCAKE,” with accompanying visuals to boot. Watch below.
