Prudential Center Sells Out Four Times In Five Days

Prudential Center – home of the NHL New Jersey Devils in Newark is hot this summer with four sold-out shows over five days featuring Megan Moroney (July 10), A$AP Rocky (July 11), Benson Boone (July 13) and Shakira (July 14).

The arena, which can accommodate up to 19,500 fans for concerts, continued its summer run with another week of top-notch shows. The venue welcomed thousands of fans across four sold-out concerts featuring chart-topping artists further cementing “The Rock’s” reputation as one of the nation’s most popular live entertainment destinations.

“It has been a tremendous start to the summer for us here at Prudential Center,” says Sean Saadeh, Chief Programming Officer and Head of Entertainment, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment. “Coming off our recent run of four consecutive sold-out shows featuring some of the biggest artists in the world, the resounding message from the artists and their teams has been how great New Jersey crowds are. For those fans, we look forward to continuing to deliver one of the most diverse event schedules in the country throughout the rest of the summer and beyond.”

Highlights of the recent run include A$AP Rocky’s “Don’t Be Dumb World Tour” final U.S. stop before heading overseas with special appearances by 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Uncle Murda and Ice Spice; Boone’s “Wanted Man Tour” with a surprise appearance by New Jersey native Aliz Earle; and Shakira’s “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” with a special guest appearance by Wyclef Jean.

Upcoming shows include Shinedown on July 21, IVE on July 25, Nate Bargatze on Aug. 8, Bryan Adams on Aug. 12 and Monster Jam Aug. 14-16. The season opener for the three-time Stanley Cup champion Devils is Oct. 1 against the Flyers.

The arena is also home to Seton Hall University’s NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball program, the Professional Women’s Hockey League’s (PWHL) New York Sirens and hosts more than 210 concerts, family shows and special events each year.
