Tarleton State University Selects Oak View Group For Event Bookings Support At EECU Center

Tarleton State University today announced a strategic partnership with Oak View Group to help secure additional live event bookings at the new 10,000-seat EECU Center.

“We’re thankful for the partnership with Oak View Group. They have a strong track record of securing live events, which will bring great visibility to the EECU Center in Stephenville,” said David Martin, Tarleton State University Assistant Vice President for Campus Operations, “They have an experienced team, and we look forward to working with them as we create opportunities on our campus and in the community.”

“Stephenville has established itself as a destination for live music and we’re excited to partner with Tarleton State University to unlock the full potential of EECU Center,” said Peter Luukko, Co-Chair, Oak View Group. “Together, we’re well-positioned to attract concerts and events that will enhance the university experience and create new energy for the broader community.”

Featuring 148,000 square feet of space, the EECU Center is a two-story multipurpose arena that hosts NCAA Division I basketball, conferences, concerts, conventions and community events, serving as a new hub for the university and the region. Basketball games are played on Summy Court, a portable maple wood flooring system that allows for efficient installation and removal while accommodating up to 8,000 fans. Concerts and other uses can welcome up to 10,000 spectators.
