Eli Announces ‘Strange Girl (Live On Stage!)’ Headline Dates 

Eli has announced a run of headline dates to go along with her appearance at Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural Daisy Chain Fields Festival and shows supporting recent collaborator Zara Larsson at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. 

The “Strange Girl (Live On Stage!)” gigs are a follow-up to her sold-out “Eli Is The Next Stage Girl Tour” in March and mark some of the rising pop star’s biggest headline dates yet including an Aug. 25 show at New York’s 1,500-capacity Webster Hall and a Sept. 2 performance at the 1,200-cap Los Angeles’ The Fonda Theatre. The run starts Aug. 20 at Chop Shop in Chicago, followed by an Aug. 23 show at The Mod Club in Toronto.

Eli was featured on the cover of Pollstar in June, shortly after she released the deluxe edition of her debut studio album, Stage Girl (Not a Dream Anymore).

Stage Girl tells the tale of an artist searching for fame and love, exploring relationships and embracing who she really is, with singles including “Marianne,” “Girl of Your Dreams” and “Like A Girl.” The album is evidence of the power of pop music, positivity, and accepting yourself while throwing on some sparkles and a signature fedora.

Eli spoke to Pollstar about her vision for the album and how she’s embraced joy as resistance: “I just spent 20 years repressing myself like crazy. And music has always been the one number most important thing in my life really. So when I finally just let the floodgates open and let myself be myself – even [with] the change in administration and the fear of new legislation in America and abroad … even though there’s so much fear about the safety of my community and everybody – the joy outweighs the fear.”

Now more fans will get to see Eli live and experience that joy together. Select presales for the new dates start Wednesday, July 22 at 10 a.m. local time and run through Thursday, July 23 at 11:59 p.m. local time. The general onsale starts Friday, July 24 at 10 a.m. local time.
