Cleveland native son MGK is once again hosting the annual, city-sanctioned MGK Day, celebrating the city that shaped the performer, to take place Aug. 7-8 and feature fellow headliner Wiz Khalifa to go along with the festivities.

The event kicks off Friday, Aug. 7, with a Red Bull Best Trick Contest at Crooked River Skatepark, to be followed up Aug. 8 at North Coast Yard, where tailgating will open at noon. Main stage performances begin at 6 p.m, where the community celebration will feature local vendors and other fare, as well as mgk and Wiz Khalifa closing out the night with a headlining set, followed by fireworks.

Fans can purchase General Admission tickets, secure a Tailgate Package for early entry beginning at 12 p.m., or grab an exclusive MGK Day T-shirt that includes complimentary festival admission. Information is available at the festival’s website.

The hometown performance comes after mgk and Wiz Khalifa spent the summer together on the “lost americana North American Tour,” which reported sold-out amphitheaters and arenas across North America, including 20,000 tickets sold at The Pavilion at Star Lake near Pittsburgh.  The two also recently released a collaborative mixtape, “blog era boyz.”

MGK Day has grown from a celebration of mgk’s impact on his hometown into a cultural gathering centered on creativity, compassion and community, drawing thousands of fans while highlighting local artists, organizations and businesses, the announcement states.

In 2022, mgk performed for more than 50,000 fans at Huntington Bank Field, becoming the first and only Ohio native to sell out the stadium. The historic concert followed Mayor Justin Bibb’s proclamation recognizing Machine Gun Kelly Day in Cleveland.

Mgk and Wiz Khalifa are both represented by WME.
