Kacey Musgraves quietly nixed three dates from her upcoming “Middle of Nowhere Tour,” including the opening night at United Center in Chicago on Aug. 20.

The country star also removed the shows on Aug. 29 at Boston’s TD Garden and on Sept. 2 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center from her website. Fans who had purchased tickets to the three shows were notified of the cancellations and refunds via email, and many took to social media to post screenshots of the message and express their disappointment.

The three dates weren’t part of the original tour schedule. Musgraves has not addressed the cancellations, but TMZ reported on Sunday that “the move was strictly a scheduling decision.”

Musgraves still has shows scheduled in each of those markets, and her tour will kick off, as originally announced, at Chicago’s United Center on Aug. 21, which also happens to be her birthday. She also has a show at Boston’s TD Garden on Aug. 28 and a two-night stand at Madison Square Garden in New York, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter from Golden, Texas, recently released a new music video for “Mexico Honey,” one of the breakout hits from her latest album, Middle of Nowhere.

Musgraves is booked worldwide by Creative Artists Agency and managed by Sandbox Entertainment.
