After teasing that something big was brewing for 2027, influential band and cult-following favorites Faith No More have announced they are joining System of a Down for stadium gigs Down Under in 2027, the band’s first shows in more than a decade.

“It’s been a minute. Let’s do this Australia and NZ,” the band posted on its socials. “Joining our friends @systemofadown as we take over stadiums Jan/Feb 2027.”

The dates, billed as “System of a Down and Faith No More” on the flier, are Jan. 22 at Accor Stadium in Sydney, Jan. 27 at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Feb. 2 at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, and Feb. 7 at HNRY Stadium in Wellington, New Zealand. The news follows the June announcement that Brazilian concert promoter 30e had struck a touring deal with Faith No More for “the band’s future tours.”

The news of the Mike Patton-fronted Faith No More comeback comes as System of a Down continues to play huge venues across the globe including recent major venues in the UK, Europe and Mexico. SOAD last played Australia in 2012 as part of Soundwave Festival as well as their own arena dates.

The two bands were initially to play together for arena gigs in fall 2021 in the US, although Faith No More pulled out citing mental health reasons. System Of A Down still played, however.
