Mexican Music Star Natanael Cano Announces Stadium Shows

Natanael Cano, one of the most prominent figures in the música Mexicana movement, is returning to Mexican stages this fall with three stadium shows to promote his upcoming album Natanael Cano Vol. 1, which marks his return to the corridos tumbados genre.

The brief tour promoted by OCESA kicks off Sept. 18 at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros, and he then makes his way to Coliseo GNP Seguros, Guadalajara’s newest music venue, on Sept. 25. The third show takes place at Estadio Walmart Park in Monterrey on Oct. 2. Additional dates will be announced, according to the release announcing the tour.

The Banamex presale for the first two concerts begins July 30 at 2 p.m., and tickets go on sale to the general public on July 31.

Cano, widely known as the godfather of corridos tumbados, promoted his latest album by hosting a scavenger hunt across Mexico City last weekend for his biggest fans to promote his latest album. Thousands of fans attended the event, and the scavenger hunt included stops at locations that were significant to the artist’s career. Fans received clues via QR codes, and the first fan who reached the final destination walked away with one million Mexican pesos (approximately $57,000), a preview of Cano’s upcoming album, tickets to the Mexico City show and an invitation to an exclusive listening party.

The corridos superstar had a massively successful show at Estadio GNP Seguros in 2024, where he played in front of 62,538 fans and grossed a whopping $5,468,738, according to Pollstar Boxoffice. The concert was livestreamed on Disney+ across all of Latin America, making him the first corridos tumbados artist to have a concert streamed on the popular streaming platform.
