Live Nation Posts $7.7B In Q2 Revenue

Live Nation Entertainment posted second quarter revenue of $7.7 billion, a 9% increase over the same quarter last year, as 49 million fans attended concerts.
Revenue was a modest beat over analyst expectations, as Zacks pegged the consensus at $7.53 billion.
On the bottom line, EPS of $1.06 was a strong beat, with Zacks setting it at $0.59.
“In a world of endless screens and AI-generated everything, the one thing that can’t be copied is being there. More artists are on the road than ever — and fans keep choosing to be in the room with them, driving the strongest concert ticket sales we’ve ever seen. More than 143 million tickets have sold through mid-July, over 14 million ahead of last year’s pace, with mid-teens ticket sales growth across all large venue types: stadiums, arenas, and amphitheaters,” president and CEO Michael Rapino said. “None of this happens without the artists — they make these moments, and we’re grateful to every artist and crew who trust us with their tours. This was a quarter of milestones: nearly 49 million fans attended our shows, Ticketmaster grew adjusted operating income 14%, and all-time-high deferred revenue points to a strong second half. The first-quarter legal accrual will weigh on reported operating income, but we remain on track for double-digit adjusted operating income growth this year — and to compound at that level for years to come.”
In the concerts sector, revenues were $6.4 billion, up 8% against the same period last year. The 10% attendance growth was driven especially by international markets — up 20% year over over — with attendance in domestic arenas and sheds also up double digits, while stadiums declined due to show timing, with tours pushed later in the year due in part to the FIFA Men’s World Cup.
On the venue side, food and beverage spend are up “high single digits” in domestic amphitheaters and European arenas and theaters. The company continues to see returns from its premium investments, with Morton and Mystic Lake amps showing premium revenue 75% higher than comparable venues. LN owned-and-operated venues expect nearly 75 million fans this year.
Ticketmaster revenues were $852 million, up 15%.
Sponsorship revenues were $383 million, up 12% against Q2 2025.
Looking forward, Live Nation says to expect a strong 2026 with event-related deferred revenue of $6.4 billion — up 25%. Attendance is projected to grow 10% by year’s end with an especially strong Q4 expected.
