Grand Ole Opry Celebrates Birthday Weekend Oct. 1-4 In Nashville

The Grand Ole Opry is set to celebrate its birthday Oct. 1–4, including a two-show Saturday night. Opry members The Oak Ridge Boys (Oct. 2, 3), Ricky Skaggs (Oct. 2, 4) as well as Opry member-elect Rhett Akins (Oct. 3), Marcus King (Oct. 3), Brandon Lake (Oct. 4) and more are scheduled to appear throughout the weekend.

The Opry’s special birthday weekend will include an exclusive ticketed “Opry Birthday Tailgate Party with Rhett Akins” (Studio A) on Saturday at 2:00 PM/CT. Opry member-elect Akins, ACM Songwriter of the Decade and a member of Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame, will host as well as perform his No. 1 hits along with fan-favorite country classics. Tickets for the “Opry Birthday Tailgate” are $25 including taxes and fees and available now.

The Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1925 and is the longest-running live broadcast show in the world. The Opry’s members are country’s most emblematic artists, and the show regularly showcases country music’s top new talent. The Opry routinely hosts three to seven live shows each week at the Opry House in Nashville.

The Opry’s “Summer of the Century” continues with appearances by Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn, Little Big Town, Trace Adkins, Darius Rucker, Pam Tillis, Chris Young, Carly Pearce and more. Tickets for all shows are available now.
