Morrissey Vegas Residency Canceled

Morrissey’s four-night run at the Wynn Las Vegas has been canceled.

The English singer was set to perform Aug. 14, 15, 18 and 19, but ticketholders received an email saying, “Hello, it is with great sadness that we inform you that Morrissey – Live in Concert, scheduled for August 14, 15, 18, and 19 at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas, has been canceled. Due to unforeseen logistical issues, the scheduled Las Vegas residency cannot take place.”

A message posted on his website — titled “Morrissey Doesn’t Cancel Vegas” — read “The shows cannot happen for logistical reasons outside of Morrissey’s control.”

He is next scheduled to perform at Riot Fest Sept. 19 and has festival spots scheduled for CBGB Festival in Brooklyn and Darker Waves in Huntington Beach, California, along with a series of headline shows through November.
