Allison Russell Announces North American Headline Tour

Allison Russell is following up her summer tour with Sarah McLachlan with a North American headline tour in support of her new album, In The Hour of Chaos. The Grammy-winning musician, poet and actor also has a show booked at the iconic Ryman Theater in her adopted home of Nashville supporting Neko Case.

Marking her third solo studio album, In The Hour of Chaos was produced by Russell and Dim Star. The LP is described as “a fervent plea for connection in this time of alienation, isolation and dread.” An announcement from her team added that “It’s an album that is meant to make you feel GOOD and, in these times, feeling good is a radical act.”

Guest appearances on the album include Norah Jones, Brittney Spencer, Joy Oladokun and Julie Williams, Kara Jackson, Devon Gilfillian, Ahya Simone, Chibueze Ihuoma, Denitia and the Explore! Pop Choir featuring Russell’s daughter, Ida.

Russell’s fall headline tour starts Oct. 15 in Asheville, North Carolina, at The Orange Peel. Stops include the 9:30 Club in D.C., Irving Plaza in New York, Massey Hall in Toronto, The Vic Theatre in Chicago, First Avenue in Minneapolis, The Showbox in Seattle, and The FIllmore in San Francisco and more.
