Big Ocean, The World’s First Hard Of Hearing K-POP Boy Band, Announces Fall U.S Tour

Big Ocean, the world’s first K-pop group comprised of members who are hard of hearing, has announced their fall United States tour, kicking off on Sept. 13 in Katonah, NY. From there, the rising trio of performers will hit Atlanta, Charlotte, Orlando, and more before concluding in Houston, TX on Oct. 11. More dates will be added at a later time. “We are so excited to connect and celebrate with our U.S. fans again! Every tour gives us the chance to create new memories together, and we’ve prepared something truly special for this one. We can’t wait to see everyone soon,” Big Ocean shares in a statement.

Along with the tour, the group plans to release “Love Sign,” their new single, on Sept. 9 at 11 p.m. EST. The track asks the classic question, “What’s your sign?,” turning the flirty bit into a topic of identity rooted in the group’s artistry. Additionally, Big Ocean will debut their menswear collection with designer Andy Yu at the Official New York Fashion Week Men’s Day. Fans can also expect a brand-new merch drop on Sept. 10.

As previously mentioned, all three Big Ocean members, PJ, Chanyeon, and Jiseok, are hard of hearing. As a result, the singers use hearing aids or cochlear implants on stage, which makes the group a pioneering force in the future of live music performance. While performing, the men sing in Korean Sign Language (KSL), American Sign Language (ASL), and International Sign (IS), to help “bring a groundbreaking perspective and unity to global music.”
