Alissa Pollack has been promoted to president of Mediabase, the music industry’s premier source for airplay analytics, RCS Worldwide announced Monday. The experienced executive will continue to serve as president of global music marketing for iHeartMedia, making her leadership role one of the most influential in music, media, technology and consumer intelligence.

In her role as president, Pollack will lead Mediabase’s strategy, global expansion, product innovation and commercial growth. She will also accelerate the company’s evolution beyond airplay charts into a global music intelligence platform that serves record labels, broadcasters, artists, managers, publishers, digital streaming platforms, agencies and brands.

“Alissa has spent her career at the intersection of music, data, and relationships, which is exactly where Mediabase lives,” said Susan Larkin, CEO and president of RCS Worldwide, which is the parent company of Mediabase. “This promotion is a recognition of everything she has already built and a reflection of our confidence in where she will take Mediabase next. As she steps into this role she will have my full support as she leads Mediabase forward.”

Pollack’s work has changed how artists are discovered, campaigns are developed and success is measured. She has been at the forefront of developing some of the music industry’s most influential data and analytics platforms, marketing solutions and award-winning brand artist partnerships, helping create strategic roadmaps to help artists launch and sustain their careers.

“I’m honored to lead Mediabase at such an exciting moment in its evolution while continuing the work I love at iHeartMedia,” Pollack said. “These roles are incredibly complementary because they share the same purpose: helping the industry make smarter decisions through meaningful insights.

“Mediabase has earned its reputation as the gold standard in music data, and I see an incredible opportunity to build on that legacy by expanding our global reach and delivering intelligence that helps our partners not just discover what’s happening now but shapes what happens next,” she adds. “As one of my first initiatives, I’m thrilled to make more Mediabase chart data publicly accessible through our newly updated Mediabase.com site. Music fans, industry professionals, and artists can now view the Top 50 charts across every format in both the U.S. and Canada, providing greater visibility into music performance and trends across North America.”
