Phoebe Bridgers Cancels Intimate UK Album Release Shows After Appendicitis Diagnosis

Phoebe Bridgers was forced to cancel a run of intimate album release performances across the UK after receiving a most unpleasant “gift” for her 32nd birthday.
“I got appendicitis for my birthday,” the singer, who turned 32 Aug. 17, wrote on Instagram. “Everything in the UK this week will have to move but I’ll make it up to you!!!!”
Bridgers played a pair of shows at London’s Union Chapel Aug. 17 and was scheduled to play similarly small shows in Kingston, Brighton and Bristol through Aug. 21 to mark the release of her third album, Lost Weekend.
New dates for the shows have not been announced, though Banquet Records, which was set to host her in Kingston, said it was working with Bridgers’ team on new dates.
The Messina Touring-promoted “The Lost Tour,” which will see Bridgers headlining arenas for the first time, begins Sept. 14 at Indianapolis’ Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Bridgers’ agent is High Road Touring’s Dave Rowan. Her manager is Blue Raincoat Artists’ Darin Harmon.
